About VC
VC Ultimate was created in Montreal in 1998 to fill a void in the market for Ultimate Frisbee apparel.
2007 has been a refocusing year for VC in many areas. We have increased our custom uniform capabilities while also expanding our in-stock programs, providing a varying scale of timeline and price-point options for teams. We’ve also spent significant resources and energy going green – trying to incorporate organic practices, sponsorships and materials into our offerings at every level.
However, our main goal remains the same as it has been for almost 10 years – to produce top quality, high performance, 100% Canadian-made custom Ultimate gear while living up to our reputation for great customer service and community involvement.
The VC Guarantee
We want players to enjoy wearing their gear as much as we enjoy making it. If a team or individual is not completely satisfied with the quality of workmanship of our products, VC will repair it, replace it, or refund their money.
Made in Canada
All of VC’s custom performance apparel is made in our production factory in Hamilton, Ontario. We strongly believe that Canadians want to buy Canadian goods, and are committed to providing a Canadian-made product at a fair price.
Local Manufacturing
Working with local suppliers is key to VC’s business ethics. Why? Because we like the people that we work with and we want to get to know them and their talents better, and for them to get to know us and our products better. Not to mention that using local suppliers means that less fuel is used in the production of every VC product.
VC manufactures all of its performance apparel within a 45 minute drive from our Toronto office/store. We share our building with our screen printers, allowing us to check the status and quality of our orders while they are still on the presses. Our factory has in-house embroidery capabilities, and we use another embroiderer located only a few blocks away.
Going Green
VC has been doing its best to learn about the different ways in which we can be more environmentally friendly. We recycle vigorously, do our best to reduce the amount of paper we use and garbage we create, and actively seek out different environmental projects and initiatives that we can support. In 2007, The VC Green Program was brought about through discussions with our friends at the Ultimate Players Association about how the events that we sponsor could be more green.
The VC Green Program’s launched at the 2007 UPA Club Championships by bringing recycling to the beautiful polo club fields for the first time ever! Also, the introduction of the VC Green Cup, a reusable plastic cup that was given to players and required to get free beer throughout the event, was a hit. The cup alone helped to reduce the amount of waste and clean up time considerably.
