2020 VC Newsletter Sign-up Drive
As part of our reworked 2020 agreement, and since players aren't able to set foot on the field in their uniforms this year, the PUL helped us think of ways its teams could help promote VC.

Why e-Newsletters are important
e-Newsletters go out to people who have explicitly shown interest in either your team, the PUL, or VC – which means the engagement from this marketing activity is the most important of all.
In fact, we regularly see over 40% more online store revenue on days where we send out an e-newsletter.
Building up an e-newsletter for your team is essential; we are positive that it will result in higher ticket sales, social engagement and merchandise revenue. We'll share more information and tips on this in other blog posts!
Help VC help your team
We talk about the Premier Ultimate League a LOT in our newsletters. Helping us increase our following will not only help us increase our revenue (and therefore the total level of resources available to give back to our community and organizations like the PUL), but there will be a trickle-down effect that helps your team.
VC e-newsletters are currently sent to over 19,000 contacts. That's 19,000 engaged "ultimate fans" who hear about the league, and your team, at least every other month.

Opportunity for Additional Credits
How can your players and team help earn extra VC credit?
We've designed a simple e-newsletter sign-up campaign for you to share. Here's our offer:
$100 per team (per occasion, up to once per month for a maximum of 4 months): Message sent to a) players, and b) fans/across all social networks (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) encouraging them to stay in touch with VC by signing up for the VC e-newsletter, with our specific link.
Do feel free to edit the following section as you like - we trust you to carry our message, and are providing these examples both for content and to make this easier for you to implement.
Email to players
We have a few opportunities for our team to earn additional VC Ultimate merchandise credit this year! The league has devised ways in which our players and team can support VC in 2020, since the traditional marketing benefit of fans seeing players take the field in their uniforms isn't a reality this year.
As you can imagine, the loss of the 2020 season has been devastating for all of us. This includes VC, whose overall revenue has dropped over 85% since the pandemic began. We want to do what we can to help support them and make sure they are in healthy shape to support the PUL in 2021!
Here's how we can help:
1. Sign up for VC's e-newsletter.
Give it a try, read a few - if you aren't interested, you can always unsubscribe. They do share interesting initiatives, promote organizations (like the PUL!) and send exclusive offers through their e-newsletter.
2. Let your friends know about VC.
Your social media networks are likely to feature your biggest fans, and potentially key supporters of your team, the PUL and VC. Show VC your appreciation by tweeting/posting a thank you or a photo of yourself in your uniform and sharing their sign-up link: https://ca.vcultimate.com/pages/newsletter-sign-up-2020

How often does VC send out an e-newsletter?
Great question! It fluctuates a bit depending on the time of year or the release cycle of new products. We generally send an e-newsletter weekly.
In order to improve our subscriber experience, we are now actively experimenting with e-newsletter list segmentation testing.
