Hokusai
Inspired by the work of Japanese artist and printmaker Katsushika Hokusai (1760-1849), these designs features elements from his pieces Chrysanthemums and Bee and Under the Wave off Kanagawa (also know as The Great Wave).
Hokusai's work falls under the Japanese Edo period's genre of art known as Ukiyo-e (literally "pictures of the Floating World") which, with its uniquely stylized figures and landscapes, has influenced artists across the globe.
